Janina Zeitler explores Morocco & inspires the youth of the country together with Rip Curl and World Surf League

Morocco, known as the land of the right-handers, is notorious for its long stretches of coastline and perfect point breaks that tend to work the best during the European winter season.

This past February, Janina Zeitler got on a plane and headed to Taghazout to compete in the Rip Curl Pro Search Taghazout Bay WSL QS 3000 and took this opportunity to, together with Rip Curl, her main sponsor, and World Surf League, explore everything the country has to offer in and outside of the water.

The competition took place in the famous Anchor Point and in the amazing right-hander of Anza, with multiple other waves having been surfed during the laydays of the event and several activations having been organised in parallel by Rip Curl on-site, such as a Rip Curl Team Signing, a Film Screening Night and a Surf lesson with local children, all of which Janina Zeitler got involved in.

"This trip to Morocco together with Rip Curl was really special for me.

It is always an amazing feeling to be together with the whole Rip Curl team, compete in some of the best waves in the world and connect with the local community through all the activities the brand organised around the event.

Rip Curl is the best brand in the world and I am so fortunate to be a part of this incredible family.
Bringing back a "The Search" event to the amazing wave of Anchor Point is definitely something really exciting and this week has been a very beautiful experience that I will always cherish.

I hope that everyone who sees this video can learn a bit more about myself as a person and as a surfer while enjoying some great surfing by our whole squad."

Join Janina Zeitler on a surftrip around Morocco with Rip Curl during what probably was the most busy week of competition in the country.

Apart from surfing tons of amazing waves and taking part in this competition, Janina took the time to immerse herself as much as possible in the culture of Morocco and to share her unique story as a professional athlete with local children from Taghazout who aspire to one day become professional surfers as well.

Together with World Surf League, Taghazout Bay and Rip Curl, Janina had the chance to visit a local museum, learning more about the history and culture of the country, to give a speech, a tour around the event site and a surf lesson to a group of local children and even try golf for the very first time with Maha Haddioui, Moroccan professional golfer part of the Ladies European Tour & 2x Olympic Athlete, all of which was captured and shared by WSL in the videos you can find down bellow.
