The long awaited August has finally arrived and with it comes the first international competitions of the European Qualifying Series Tour 2023/2024.

This year's QS Season has started in Fistral Beach, Newquay, England, in the Boardmasters Festival, a legendary surf competition that, since 1981 has attracted the biggest names in the history of surfing, such as Tom Carroll, Martin Potter, Tom Curren and even Kelly Slater.

WSL has made its return this year to the Cornish Coast with the Animal Pro QS 1000 which has allowed the best UK and International surfers to go head to head in the country´s biggest surf competition.

Janina Zeitler was no exception and definitely made her presence be felt in this year's Boardmasters by putting an incredible performance which has surely left any German surf enthusiast proud, having been one of the highlights of the event by getting one of the highest scores of the entire competition for a single manoeuvre, a 7 point ride on a big frontside snap straight off the lip that has definitely raised a lot of eyebrows for a very promising season ahead of the inspiring surfer from Munich, Germany.
